Do you know what incarceration is to people who don’t give a fuck? It’s free room and board, and no responsibilities! Nonetheless, some people believe that imprisonment is rehabilitating, and I believe that those people are more dangerous than most criminals! Rehabilitation is supposed to be restorative and revitalizing, and holding people in cages because they’ve made human decisions is arguably inhumane. If rehabilitation is meant to cause a reversion to normalcy, and you imprison someone who normally doesn’t give a fuck to be encompassed by animalistic savages, what do you think is going to change? Please don’t get me wrong, I believe in retribution, and I appreciate that removing perilous people from society benefits everyone’s overall well-being. But on Earth, how often does the punishment fit the crime? Victims and their sympathizers can be some of the most entitled, intolerant, vindictive, inconsiderate, and even violent people on the planet. Diverging slightly, in light of the recent shooting at a Georgia high school—an attack that left two students and two staff members dead—I feel compelled to explain my position on bullying once again. I’m always curious about why no one ever blames the bullies, and their enabling parents, for school shooters’ very intrinsic response to the torment that they face daily. Anger is normal and one of our most natural emotions, and violence can be acts of self-defense and heroism. Never have I witnessed authorities investigate and arrest the students who harass and assault bullied school shooters. Why is that? Why the fuck don’t people view criminalizing bullying as a solution to not-so-senseless school shootings? Again, causation is the process of initiating actions that have subsequent consequential effects. If bullying begets retaliation, eliminate the bullies before the bullied become bullies! People who habitually violate human rights by crossing boundaries should face consequences, without question. We’ve all seen or heard of an antagonist getting their ass whooped, or worse, and declared that they got what they deserved, right? I don’t want to victim blame, but if students don’t want to become collateral casualties of school shootings—especially considering the frequency at which said shootings occur—why don’t they get together to stop bullying from taking place? There are a lot of “common sense” things that should be happening but never do. And do you know what my conclusion is? It’s that everybody’s stupid! What do you think encourages bullying, besides insecurities? I believe that bullying is incentivized by the negativity that children learn while observing their elders. For example, if a mom loves to gossip, she is bound to insult people while laughing riotously. Assuredly, children associate laughter with cheerfulness and harmlessness, so they are liable to mimic negativity and offensiveness in what they perceive to be fun and games. Additionally, parents often project their insecurities onto their children. So, children affected by or accustomed to their own parents highlighting their flaws are inclined to perceive pointing out other people’s imperfections and quirks as normal. Technically, because normal is defined as something typical or expected, it’s safe to conclude that hatefulness is as normal as violence. Not a day goes by where motherfuckers aren’t being murdered, and it’s everybody’s fault! At the end of the day, if you love your children, act like it! Sometimes protecting yourself means shutting up when you’re afraid of someone and speaking up when others are afraid to, but only mature and secure people respect that. If you’re an adult, on a scale of one to ten, what’s your maturity level? Better yet, when was the last time someone asked you how mature you think you are? I’m not saying that you’ve never been asked that question, but I am insinuating that you don’t focus on maturity enough. Because if everyone is being influenced by what’s normal, and it’s normal to incite violence through immaturity, you must be emotionally and intellectually mature to guide yourself and your loved ones away from environmentally unfriendly norms. So, start teaching children that normal ain’t nice!
Whether you paid for information or learned it for free, the facts don’t change. Professionals often get paid to apply information that they paid for, which is the same information that many of us obtain for free, and they think that makes them smarter than us. Of course, when I say that people are paying for information, I’m referring to institutional educations. How many lies have you convinced yourself are true? We’ve already established that being college-educated doesn’t automatically make you highly intelligent. And I’ve made compelling and convincing arguments about why being normal isn’t always natural. For continuity’s sake, another big lie that I think people tell themselves is that anger is always detrimental. First, if any and everybody is capable of experiencing anger, that makes it inevitable—which means it’s instinctual. An instinct is an inborn behavior that can’t be controlled. Humans turn to violence when anger—which is an emotion—gets the best of them. But how often do you think anger helps justifiably save someone’s life? Most of us, if not all of us, know our brains and bodies, correct? Being distressed or under duress sparks a physiological response that prompts us to either face or evade danger. And believing that your life is in jeopardy could make you angry, in turn making you violent. This is how humanity survives, whether we like it or not. School shootings are no different than acts of war. When lines are crossed and people are oppressed, they fight for freedom and survival! Bullies are indeed oppressors, and oppression is far more detrimental than the anger it causes. Please, stop blaming soldiers for fighting for their freedom. I already know that this is going to turn some people off, and if that’s you, you’re probably the type of motherfucker who foolishly believes that you have the right to dictate people’s responses and reactions to what’s happening to them—even when you’re uninvolved and unaffected. If people didn’t have life so fucked up, people wouldn’t get fucked up so ordinarily. Like I always say, a scared motherfucker will kill you before a brave one will. If you walk around trying to scare people, and their instincts inform them that you’re threatening their life, don’t be shocked when they try to kill you! From my perspective, this is just more “common sense.” On a lighter note, HOT 97 reported that rapper Fat Joe—who is fabulously fat—has been trending on social media after he very confidently flaunted his flabby body in his new music video, “Outta Control,” with rapper Remy Ma. In the video, Joe and Remy both go shirtless, and apparently both of their boobs have been a bubbling topic of discussion. I only mention this because focusing on the fact that a rapper named “Fat Joe” is fat is just frivolous. Diverging slightly, Fat Joe—who is a self-proclaimed ex-criminal—has been very vocal against the usage of rap lyrics in criminal cases, and he’s been lying his ass off in interviews and internet posts ever since the issue was broached. Rappers are known to embellish the truth and falsify follies of former times to enrich the allure of their personas. However, some niggas are stupid enough to hop on wax and melt their chances of remaining in rotation by setting flame to any reasonable doubt that they would have been able to claim before snitching on themselves for a name and fame. By making absolutely absurd assertions about his past, I believe that Fat Joe is attempting to standardize the admission of rappers lying like fuck in their lyrics. But Fat Joe also talks about becoming a bully after being bullied, which you can hear by searching “Jay Shetty Podcast” on YouTube, and that’s yet another account that corroborates my claim that antagonism naturally gives rise to anger that causes retaliatory violence. Ultimately, if you don’t start nothin’, it probably but not definitely won’t be nothin’. Peace.
