What is life? The way I see it, life is the series of events that determine one’s will to live. Making you motherfuckers sad is never my goal. I’m good, I promise! But I know a lot of people aren’t good, which is why I’ve taken it upon myself to dedicate my life to discovering how to effectively and permanently improve people’s mental health. I know what you’re thinking, “Beau, you’re a high school dropout. And you don’t have a psychology degree.” Yeah, but I’m smarter than y’all! Again, almost everything that you read here comes directly from my brain. If you’d want me to “cite [my] sources,” 98% of the time, I would redirect you to my blog, or to the ghost of my life’s past. I don’t read other people’s theories, theses, or thoughts. I take facts and personal experiences, then I think of different ways to articulate my personal perspectives on those matters, and thereafter I share those perspectives here—with y’all. If everyone were reading, who’d be writing? I know it’s difficult for some of you to imagine me being this much more intelligent than you, especially if you thought you knew me. Well, that just proves that you don’t know shit, doesn’t it? How hard has your life been thus far? I believe that life’s degrees of difficulty are greatly decided by one’s ability to deal with daunting and distressing dilemmas. Different people can be dealt the same cards while under identical circumstances, but some are more naturally equipped to play their hand to their advantage than others. I’ve spent all my adult life wondering why people worry, weep, wreck their lives, and waste their time racking their brains about the wrong things. And I’ve spent just as much time curious about the causes behind acts of desperation, deceit, desecration, disobedience, and other disturbing or disagreeable deeds. We can’t go through life just taking people’s word for shit. If you’ve ever done research on something popular, you may have noticed how much information is repeated by difference resources. And that could be for two reasons. One, everyone is regurgitating details from a single credible source. Two, people are reiterating what they learned from others who’ve restated the same information. If you know better, you’re aware that my writing is original because it’s creative and never generic. If I were copying and pasting or using AI-assisted software, my shit would sound like everyone else’s. I’m a thinker, I have a mind of my own, and it’s difficult to manipulate me or manhandle my mental might. And that’s what makes a game changer, a culture shifter, a problem solver. Please, don’t try this at home. I guarantee y’all that most people wouldn’t survive this level of scrutiny and scolding. Once more, whether y’all realize it or not, I’m being tested. And I’m sure the examiners see there ain’t shit they can do but respect me! How many life-changing experiences have you had? Be they breakthroughs or beat downs, being brought to or beyond the brink of advantageous development or disadvantageous alteration is sure to be stimulating or shocking. Diverging slightly, you know, being intelligent isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. It sucks seeing everything for what it really is, which often ruins the playful side of imagination—at least for me. Nonetheless, imagining myself as someone of immense influence—a person with the power to empower people—is why you’re all here. For the record, if you think I’m weird, you’re supposed to. The last thing I want to be is normal, or more like y’all—respectfully. When was the last time an ordinary-ass person accomplished something extraordinary? I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it’s undeniably improbable. Forgettable people will be forgotten. I’ve pissed off, pressed, pepped up, and piqued the interest of some predominant figures—already. Why would I stop now?
Speaking of life, how would you like it if someone dictated how, when, why, or if you live? Shout-out to Joe Biden for commuting the majority of current death row sentences to life without the possibility of parole. I believe that there’s something useful for literally everyone to teach someone, rather directly or indirectly. And as it pertains to life lessons, no type of person has the wealth of knowledge like the people that humans disregard. When I was in my mid-teens, I rode Marta to and from school. Sometimes, I would skip school and ride the train around Metro Atlanta. And some of the most interesting, introspective, informative individuals I’ve ever met were homeless people. There are people out there who have only experienced hardship and heartbreak, and they have some of the most eye-opening cautionary tales you’ll ever hear. Of course, now there’s social media and YouTube, and everybody has a story to tell. But how often do you take heed? Admittedly, like I mentioned earlier, I like to form my own opinions, have isolated experiences, gather facts directly from main sources, and be a dissenting voice—or author. Still, there are some stories that make things make sense, even for me. As an individualist, I understand why outsiders omit outside outlooks. But again, there’s always something to learn from other people’s successes and screw-ups. After saying that, unquestionably, humans have life fucked up. And that’s why success has so many separate significations for people. Granted, without structure and some semblance of sobriety, the only thing suckers would succeed at is being stupid and screwing up—hence society’s menaces and social media’s superstars. But I believe that life requires variety, which doesn’t come without resistance and rebellion. If everybody followed the rules, freedom would be defined as the right to choose which rules to follow. Wait, that sounds a little too familiar, huh? If I lost you, allow me to rephrase that. If freedom is possessing the liberty to act without hindrance or restraint, but the masses choose to conform to norms, wouldn’t that mean y’all don’t want to be free? You can do what you want to do, be who you want to be, screw who you want to screw, see what you want to see, but the last thing you want to be is free?! If life was a tool, how would you use it? Right now, I would liken my life to a jackhammer, because if left to take the opportunity, I’m about to tear up the foundation of fuckery, starting with black culture! How many of y’all take me for a joke? Has it ever crossed your mind that I want to be underestimated? If I’m the “everybody’s stupid” guy, do you think I’d enjoy making everybody feel stupid? For the record, I don’t watch or listen to any of y’all podcasts in their entirety. I know that’s going to hurt some of your feelings, but I appreciate all the attention y’all want from me. I can tell by some of your titles and thumbnails that you’re fans of mine, and if there’s a female on your pod, I might slide in a YouTube premiere just to hear what she’s talking about. I would shout y’all out by name, but acknowledgement is enough, right? Keep on tapping in with me, though. I swear I’m just warming up! Would you like to know what my next move is? Do you know what a stooge is? A stooge is what that fool is, and we all know who the fool is. Fool, I’m gon’ take you to school, kid. See, this stooge is such a fool he couldn’t fool school kids. But see, school is where the truth is. And the truth is, to school a fool is to see a fool get schooled while being a stooge in front of the cool kids. And I bet that fool thought he was cool, too. Too bad it ain’t cool to be a fool too! Peace.
